India - Delhi

India ... So many contrasts. We found a hostel in the middle of a bazaar. A street with many shops. It was very noisy with rickshaws, bikes, cows... In this street, people speak to you all the time trying to sell you something. It's a bit tiring at the beginning but slowly on we got used to it.
We visited the Red Fort in Old Delhi. Inside there are fantastic palaces made of white marbles, incrusted with silver and diamonds to reflect the light.
We also went to the Mahtma Gandhi Museum and on the place where he was incinerated. Over there, we could feel a very pleasant and peaceful atmosphere.

Thailand - Koh Phi Phi

If you think that Paradise still exists it's maybe in Ko Phi Phi. The pictures speak for theirselves. Of course, the bad side is that you are not alone. There are many tourists ...
Also, we can still see the effects from the Tsunami. Some houses are still destroyed and a lot of corals in the sea have been broken. The hotel where we stayed was completly destroyed by the tsunami.
But apart of that the place is beautiful! And we were really lucky with the weather.

Thailand - Koh Phan Ngan - Phuket - Bangkok

Roger, our friend from Barcelona has joined us! The three of us took the train to the south of Thailand. It was an old train but it was funny!
I was really disapointed...because always when you buy the tickets, they show you a great picture and then...surprise! Well, in the end it was another adventure and another story to tell!
We reached Kho Phan Ngan, an island on the East coast. It's a nice place to make snorkeling but the water was wild. So, imagine....Roger and I (Nicolas) got some small injuries because of the corals ...
And I need to tell you guys, that one night, Roger and Nic, decided to do a Pirata walk to the other beach, of course there was no road or flash light. They went to a bar, left the shoes at the door (as we do in most of the places) and when they left.....where were the shoes???? Some one stole them.....imagine, they came back without shoes, all the way back, singing songs so the animals wouldn't come near and when I opened the door of our room, both of them were saying that their feet were hurting ;-)

After we went to the south-west in Phuket. Close from there, we visited the James Bond island. That's why we toke a picture with a gun in our hand :)
You can also see Tina and Roger standing on the walls of a special room. Do you recognize the place?
It's the hostel where they made the movie THE BEACH with Leonardo Di Caprio. They have in the hand the map of the secret beach...

On the last pictures, you can see other aspects of our stay in Bangkok: The massage diploma of Tina, a smart shopping center and the new suit of Nicolas. (it's very cheap to make a suit on measure in Bangkok)

Thailand - Bangkok - Koh Samet

Thailand is a kind of central place for us to travel around South East Asia. We already entered the country three times!
First, when we came from Singapore, then from Myanmar and finally from Cambodia. It's always good as the country has generally better infrastructures than its neighbors.
The first pictures with the temples are from Bangkok. It’s a real chaos of Tuk-tuks, motorcycles and cars (sometimes it remembers me of Sao Paulo ;-) ).
Especially in Kho San road area there are a lot of tourists. It’s a bit too much and not so great to walk throught all this mass.
In the other side of Bangkok, there are a lot of big and modern buildings.
There are also a lot of cultural events. The city is full of live and movement.
Many foreigners (called “Farang” by the locals) like it so much that they have decided to live here.

The lying Buddha and the temples are from the Wat Pho, the place where I (Tina) did my massage course. I'm practising it with Nic and Roger, so I can do good massages on you guys when we comeback ;-) . Many monks live there and all the national knowledge of herbal medicines and massages are centralized there since 200 years.
For me, it’s very good as Tina has to practice her course on me every night!

On the next pictures, we are on a nice island called Ko Samet. Charles and Tina have received some massage on the beach. It was great!

In Ko Samet, there are many wild dogs. They all want food! Have a look at the picture of the girl on the beach!

In a few days, we will go for south Thailand.

Cambodia - Phnom Penh - Angkor

From Laos, we went to Cambodia. And our friend Charles from Belgium is still with us!
It's a country with a lot of contrast. On the one hand there was an awful genocide when the Khmers Rouges took the power in the year 1970.
On the other hands, you have the wonderful temples of Angkor.First, we stopped in Phnom Penh. It's a busy city with a lot of difference between the rich and the poor.We visited the S-21 prison. It was one of the prison where the Khmers Rouges from Pol Pot were torturing people. Very Impressive.

Then, we went to Angkor. We visited those fantastic temples during three days. They were made between the 10 and the 13th century. In that time more than 1 million people were living in Angkor. To compare, there were only 50 000 people in London at the same time! When walking in the temples you can see many big trees that have start to grow there. It's kind of Indiana Jones effect;)

In one of the restaurant where we eated, they were keeping crocodiles in the canalizations...

Finally, we visit a Land Mine Museum. Cambodia is one of the country in the world with the most active landmines. More than 7 million are suppose to be still active at the border with Thailand. Every year, there are still hundreds of accidents. It's really an awful weapon that should be banished.
